IOT Solutions Launched by XCMG, Soft Power Displayed at Bauma China 2012

    On 27th November, Bauma China 2012 was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center. XCMG, a giant of the global construction machinery industry, took a number of competitive products to this exhibition which made XCMG a shining star again. Representing the soft power of XCMG, the new generation of internet of things (IOT) solutions appeared in public for the first time, which caused bursts of climax.     XCMG IOT Hall was located in Pavilion W3. This exhibition hall was designed in a scientific and beautiful style with white and blue as its dominant hues. “Exploration Trip” 3-D interactive scene was created with high-tech multi-touch technology and holographic projection technology. The work flow of XCMG’s IOT was displayed on the transparent glass in an all-around way. The abstract concept of IOT was interpreted as a three-dimensional picture scroll under the blue sky and white clouds. This vivid and thrilling display attracted many clients to actively participate in the interactive activities. They spoke highly of the unique features and strong functions of XCMG’s IOT.
    XCMG intelligent information service platform is a tailor-made self-service platform for customers. Focusing more on the demand of customers, this platform provides users with six major functions including file, working condition, health, journal, trace and reporting form. Through “file” function, information of products can be managed throughout the product life cycle ranging from production to withdrawal; “working condition” function allows users to have a real-time check of detailed condition data of equipment and have an in-depth understanding of the performance of the equipment; “health” function gives a mark for the equipment according to the health policy formulated by the system so as to provide data to users as a reference for maintenance; In the “journal” function, users can check the maintenance journal, journal of incidents report and journal of faults, and they can be reminded of the forthcoming maintenance; besides, users are allowed to search through the system the engineer who is the most adjacent to the equipment for rapid repair and maintenance; “trace” function can play back the working condition and movement trace at any time in the past, which is convenient for users to manage the history working condition; “reporting form” function allows users to check the information they are concerned about, such as the working period of each day, the accumulated working hours of a month, the fuel consumption of a day and mileage.
    XCMG’s IOT intelligent information service platform makes its users well-informed. Users can log on the platform through the user end in their office and manage their own equipment in an all-around way. They can also visit the system at any time in any place through mobile electronic devices such as IPhone and IPad.
