SEM brand participated Bauma Conexpo India 2016, which was held from Dec. 12th to 15th 2016, in Gurgaon, New Delhi, India. This was the first time SEM brand joined together with CAT for a trade show in India, addressing both life cycle and utility customers with different applications.
 

 

Bauma Conexpo India is a famous International Trade Fair, showcases Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles, while providing professional platform for networking, investment and the exchange of ideas and information in India.  With 647 exhibitors from 30 countries and 31, 000 visitors, there were more foot fall compared to previous show, indicates potential growth of industry. 
 

Caterpillar’s theme this year was digital world closer to customer. As a Caterpillar brand, SEM products installed CAT® Product LinkTM, which helps customers reduce operating cost and improving overall site management. As the only utility manufacturer providing Hydrostatic transmission on the Dozers , using load sensing pump on Motor Graders , which provides huge fuel savings to customers in India market, SEM products won high praise from visitors. 
 

This was a perfect avenue for SEM brand to do the soft launch of the products as India is gearing up for a big infrastructure push. There is rapid growth of mid-tier products in India, in order to capture the mid-tier segment, presence of SEM machines would be a key success factor.
