Rolling Meadows, IL, February 23, 2017 - Komatsu Forklift is very proud to announce that their BX50 Series forklift has been awarded the honor of Highest Retained Value from EquipmentWatch in the Forklift category. The BX50 joins two other Komatsu machines, the GD655 Motor Grader and the WA320 Wheel Loader as the machines in their respective categories that retained the highest residual value over the past five years of data.

In creating the 2017 Highest Retained Value Awards program, EquipmentWatch analysts considered 12,536 models from their valuation database which were then narrowed down to 156 series from 36 brands. Once the finalists were established, residual values were calculated at the series level by leveraging a database covering more than $412 billion in market activity in-order-to identify the winner in each product category. “The Highest Retained Value Award is indicative of excellence across a manufacturing organization,” said Garrett Schemmel, Vice President of EquipmentWatch. “Product quality has the most obvious impact on an asset’s performance on the secondary market, but residual values are also highly impacted by brand affinity and fair original pricing.
