Sany unveils new rough terrain crane

March 13, 2017

Accompanied by a countdown with excitement levels comparable to a rocket launch, Sany officially revealed a brand new rough terrain crane at ConExpo 2017.  The new SRC8130 has a 130 USt lifting capacity. It is the biggest in the lineup, which includes 40, 65 and 85 USt machines.

“The new 130 USt model from Sany fills a demand in the increasingly growing ‘large’ rough terrain crane segment,” said Mark Thurston, Western regional business manager for Sany America.

The SRC8130 is equipped with a five section boom, and when fully extended, reaches 161 feet. The telescoping boom utilizes a double cylinder and rope mechanism.  The two section, folding jib fully extends to 59 feet with a maximum tip height of 220 feet.

This crane itself assembles and disassembles. The auxiliary hoist, counterweight and outrigger boxes can be removed for transportation.  This reduces the shipping weight to comply with different transportation regulations in the United States.

The intuitive electronic control system is operator friendly.  It makes precise movements extremely easy and makes troubleshooting convenient and simple.

“That’s very convenient for operators in the field, so if they have an issue, they can actually look at the monitor panel, call into their dealer or to SANY, report what the issue is and then we can normally, most of the time, troubleshoot over the phone to get it up and running,” said Eric Teague, general manager of Sany America.
